Gillian Davidson Gillian is a Business Unit Director at Real Time and has been with the company since its inception in 1988.
Gillian has a wide knowledge of industry standards and business objectives. She uses this to forecast future trends and future business strategies, based on her understanding of emerging technologies and business models.

Background
During her professional career, Gillian has amassed a wide range of experience, encompassing the following milestones:
1983 – Gillian graduates from the University of Glasgow with an honours degree in Computing Science. Following graduation, she joins Glasgow-based YARD Ltd as an assistant systems designer and becomes the company’s youngest ever consultant in 1988.
Gillian leaves YARD along to join Real Time. Specialising in IT solutions for the travel and transport sector, including:
- Seconded to Civil Aviation Authority as a test and quality manager for Oceanic Flight Data Processing System.
- Conducted a study into the expansion options for an air traffic control system database for National Air Traffic Services.
1993 – Gillian joins the board of Real Time, and continues to specialise in the Travel & Transport sector.
1998 – Assumes board responsibility for Real Time’s business for the Year 2000 business team concerned with real-time systems and embedded chips in the Year 2000.
2003 – Responsible for Real Time’s drive into the public sector.
