Operation Solutions  Real Time is a niche provider of consultancy services in the aviation environment, whereby we help our customers to make the best use of their operational data, to gain operational efficiencies, minimise costs, and to maximise the benefits their IT systems can deliver.

We can do this because we have a unique understanding of the industry, gained by our Consultants who have worked across the Aviation sector in airlines, airports, ATC and ground handling services environments. Information Display Systems
Real Time has delivered a number of business-critical passenger and staff information display systems to airports, train operators and ATC companies, including BAA, Heathrow Express and the Irish Aviation Authority.
Flight Information Display System
Real Time has developed and supported the Flight Information Display System (FIDS) at Heathrow and Gatwick airports, and Paddington Railway Station (for the Heathrow Express) over the last 7 years. FIDS provides information to customers throughout all areas of the airport, including way finding and baggage reclaim. Real Time supports FIDS 24 hours per day, 365-days-per-year.
Passenger Information Display System
Real Time provided a Passenger Information Display System (PIDS) for Heathrow Express. This system was installed in Paddington Station, London and Heathrow Airport, Terminals 1 and 4. We provide support during office hours (8:30am - 5:00pm) for the system, which runs on a small network of PCs, and was developed using Microsoft Visual Basic 5.0 and Microsoft Access.
Airport Operational Systems
Real Time has provided solutions to a number of customers in the Airport Operational Systems (AOS) arena. This includes FIDS at Heathrow and Gatwick, FirstPlanIT, our best of breed passenger forecast and resource management product, AOS technical consultancy and traffic charging systems.
AOS Technical Consultancy
Real Time provided on-site technical expertise over an extended period of time to assist the BAA Airport Operational System (AOS) Team. This work included technical evaluation of all AOS projects, attending technical project meetings, and providing recommendations on required technical strategies. This also involved assessing the required infrastructure support to enable the new AOS to be integrated and rolled out into all BAA Airports. This work was invaluable to BAA by providing independent action to assist in co-ordination of the activities of a number of diverse BAA partners. |
