Queues are one of the biggest aggravations to passengers within the airport. Changes to security procedures across the industry have only increased the frustrations of queuing. Whether the queues are at check-in or security search, the ability to measure and manage the queues is paramount to the airport operations.
Real Time, in partnership with Bluelon and Lase Peco, has launched RT-Queue™ which delivers detailed, real time statistics on every queue in the airport. RT-Queue™ uses a mesh of specialised Bluetooth access points to track individual passenger movements throughout the terminal and generate individual queue times. These times are coupled with laser-based people counting sensors to provide a complete picture of the terminal operations.
